Tre mobili veneziani

Alessandro Mendini
2008

Three pieces of furniture that have an architectural plant, which are mainly made of aluminum with decorations of stylistic pictorial three-dimensional effect, impressed by sublimation. This particular effect of light and shade is obtained by photographing crumpled paper sheets decorated with polychrome signs under razing light: the images thus obtained are transferred on to the pieces through the sublimation process. Each of the three sideboards is also decorated and colored with an architectural trompe l’œil.

The stylistic elements become round and multi-colored, the play of light and shadows and three-dimensionality is ensured by the processes of manipulation, photo and sublimation. THis continuing research becomes a psychological and aesthetic vision, contained in pieces that all have the shape of a perfect circle.

Alessandro Mendini

L'ITALIA RICOMINCIA DA ZERO

Various Designers
2011

The theme, or better, the inspiration for this collection is Italy; not a stereotypical Italy but rather a critical vision of a beautiful country. It is a collection not without affection and where possible with that vein of humour which has often accompanied ZERODISEGNO, starting from the title “L’Italia ricomincia da ZERO” (Italy starts again from ZERO).

Rain of Colours

Alex Angi
2013

Angi gives a new life to plastic by recycling and extruding it. ZERODISEGNO created a large table and a console with a pure and rational design in polished-mirrored steel which Angi works on to create plastic gems that emerge from their crusts, exploding like a sudden downpour, full of coloured and joyful drops that contaminate the object and spread the virus of optimism.
